JOHN DOOLITTLE

CAPT, USN (Ret) and Chief Revenue Officer for KAATSU Global

John is from Walnut Creek, California. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy in 1992 and a Master’s of Science in Defense Analysis, Special Operations Low-Intensity Conflict (SOLIC) from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2005. After 25 years in the Navy, he retired from the SEAL Teams, and started leveraging the lessons he learned in the Navy in the business world.

After an inter-service transfer and cross-commissioning from the Air Force to the Navy in 1992, John transferred into the Navy and worked as a hard-hat salvage diver for three years, and then completed Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training as the Class Leader of Class 213. From 1996 to 2017, John moved through the officer ranks, was assigned to various SEAL Teams, and conducted multiple deployments throughout the European, African, Pacific and Middle East theaters of operations. While completing his Master’s degree, he did a solo swim across the English Channel in memory of a fallen teammate and friend, raising money for the UDT/SEAL Association and the Navy SEAL Foundation. Most of his Navy career was focused on our military’s reaction to 9/11; a busy time for John and his family.

John’s last duty station in the Navy was at U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), where he led the Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) program supporting the 73,000 personnel making up the USSOCOM enterprise. These resources are now embedded in all of our nation’s USSOCOM command elements around the globe, and are focused on repairing and sustaining our nation’s most important weapon system; the Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine.

After his military time, John went to work for KAATSU Global in 2017 to improve the lives of wounded warriors in America. It was during his time at KAATSU that John started to share his unique perspective with students, athletes and corporations. John now speaks to organizations and teams about the importance of resilience, leadership and trust.

John and his wife, Katie, live in St. Petersburg, Florida with their daughter, Meg (16). Their sons, Sean (21) and Ryan (19) are both in college. The Navy has taken the Doolittles around the world; now John brings his combat-tested and proven leadership lessons to organizations and teams across the country.
